Thanks to popular demand, Chicago Men’s A Cappella will again be collaborating with the University of Chicago Motet Choir and University choral ensembles in the performance of Handel’s Messiah, presented by UChicago Arts. In a change from past years, there will only be one performance, a Sunday matinée.
The performance will be conducted by James Kallembach, Director of Choral Activities and Senior Lecturer in Music. The Rockefeller Chapel Orchestra, led by concertmaster Jeri-Lou Zike, will perform the instrumental accompaniment.
Prices for tickets are as follows: $50 Preferred (chancel seating), $25 General (all pew seating in the nave and balconies), $5 Student (in general seating areas only).
The concert will run approximately 2 hours, with one 20 minute intermission.
