James hails from Indianapolis, Indiana where in high school he preformed with the show choir, concert choir, and numerous other vocal ensembles. He still sings with his high school barbershop quartet, Comin’ Clean and enjoys their monthly rehearsals. At the University, James’ loyalties lie with Chicago Men’s A Cappella and the Ballroom and Latin Dance Association with whom he instructs salsa dance classes. So when he’s not ringing seventh chords or or crooning harmony with CMAC, he’s swooning ladies on the dance floor with his smooth footwork.
